Well I've had my exercise for the past 2 days. Yesterday went to my friend-- he's learning his sons sawmill. We slabbed all the pecan that was big enough to set safely on the railing- and this is what I got-- plus I have about that much more that I'll cut with my chainsaw once I recover. This is green wood, so it'll set until I'm ready for it--- which may be soon....
23 slabs of really nice looking pecan.
It's mostly 4-5 inches thick, some 3 inch.
All sticked, stacked and covered--- let it rain----please.

Ooooh ... the feathers in that crotch-wood look like they'll make some amazing figured pieces :w00t:

Oh man, that is some nice wood. Pecan looks to be a beautiful wood. I need better friends....

Doc, why are you wanting rain, do you think your pieces are drying too quickly or are you needing more down time to recuperate? :thumbsup:

Well, yes, not a young pup anymore & there's just one of me.
As forRain?
'Cause it's drier than a popcorn fart around here.
And I've got the slabs under a tarp.
And it DID
