Matching gunstock finish

First post so bear with me. I'm building a bar for a friend and he wants Gunstock finished oak hardwood flooring for the top. He wants the body of it to match the top. I used pine shiplap panels for the body and I'm wary of using gunstock stain on pine because it always looks too orange-ish. I don't do much staining (or painting for that matter), so I was wondering if anyone knew of any other stains/techniques that would help me match the color of gunstock oak on pine.

Different kinds of wood are going to stain different. Sometimes when mixing woods you have to use completely different products to achieve a matching color. If you would post some pictures perhaps one of use could give you some tips.
