I picked up an old but new 18v makita sliding miter saw today. It's cute. Very small and light. I have located an adapter that will allow me to use the new style lithium batteries in it. From what I can tell though is that the adapter is a real PITA to remove from the saw and you can't install the battery without removing the adapter first. Anybody know of a way to simplify this setup ?

Battery adaptor removal

Not positive about the easiest way to remove this adaptor but why would you go to all the hassle of adapting to LIon? NiMH is just as powerful with no adaptation needed,
