Hey guys, decided to try a small project and it came out really nice.
The wife is a fan of etsy website which sells handmade crafts and stuff, and someone is selling this thing for quit a bit, with $40 of materials and like 4 hours time i made the same thing.
1/2" birch plywood back. Would have gone with cheaper since it got painted but big box store only had ONE STRAIGHT PIECE of 2ftx4ft ply!
boxes are 1x3 pine, 1/2 birch scraps for the magazine box.
8mm Luan attached to the bottoms with finishing nails.
2 1/4 door casing for the frame. Boxes made with pocket screws and glue.
No primer, just two coats of Rustoleum Chalkboard paint.
