Its been awhile since I made a Jazz Bass body so today I sweated it out in the shop and made this one.Its African Mahogany.

Wlow great job. Is african mahogny also called sapele?

African Mahogany ans Sapele are closely related and once planed,difficult to tell any difference.sapele is sometimes a little browner.

That's a beauty! The wood is gorgeous and the shape is very smooth and beautifully sculpted. Looking forward to seeing the finished product and more photos.
