In 1996 I made a kids' riding train (John Wayne) from plans in a woodworking magazine (can't remember which and I have thousands of them). I'd like to make another for my grandson but can't find that particular issue. Anyone familiar with this one? or where I can get the magazine and/or the plans?

thanks in advance for any help,
Glenn

ps - this isn't the one I made but another pic I found online of the exact train I want to build again

What you have pictured looks simple enough. The stencil would be the most difficult part. You might make some sketches of what you can remember about the train. All I could find is toy trains which were scale down size of an iron horse with a cab on it. Wouldn't work for your needs unless you made it as big as a car.
