Hey guys I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I'm lookin for a cheap but decent planer I'm starting to put my shop together and that's basically the last thing I need to get a decent start
I bought the rigid 4331 a while back and love it. It has the repeat a cut feature and a gauge to tell you just how much your taking off each pass. Even better than that. With a harbor freight 20% off coupon it can be had for around 300 bucks if my memory serves me right.
Home depot sells it. I don't know much about the one at harbor freight. A lot od there stuff is hit or miss. I have good luck with a few of there tools. One thing I do know if it doesn't have some sort of repeat a cut feature. Stay away. It is extrememly helpful.
