Hi, so this is one of the first forums I've been on. I'm looking to build some lockers for our five kids. Not sure if I ought to go with plywood or solid. I'd like to have a seat that doubles as a lid for a bin, a coat rack and a shelf.

I have attached my SketchUp design.

Trying to decide on the finish for the edges as well. The kids all like the routered edges.

My experience is beginner(ish). Unless of course I'm deployed. Then it's fairly expert due to the necessity to "acquire" materials, the lack of tools and all the ******* engineering I can muster. Sort of like a Bob MacGyver-Villa.

Thanks in advance :)
