I made this little cherry box from a cut-off left from making a few round blanks. This was from a stump section of the biggest cherry tree I've every seen here. I found 3 slices of a cherry tree that were 39" in diameter and cut into 20" thick slabs. The lady who gave me the wood said her son was just using it for firewood and couldn't cut all the way through the slabs he left. I sure would like to have seen that whole tree! The box is about 4 3/4" tall and 2 1/2" wide. Finished with mineral oil and buffed...Bill...
