It's worth $37 dollars but not much more. It's probably better than what I started with but and you can turn with it. It will be frustrating because nothing on it works very precisely or locks down very solid. Still for less than $50 you will get your moneys worth.
If you have never turned before ,you could try it,then if you find you like turning later on down the road,then get a good one.I would offer him 30.00 bucks.Your not going to be able to turn anything much bigger than stoppers,pens and small stuff like that.
