50in is the max bed length. What is the swing, which will define the max diameter of turning?

I have a NOVA DVR XP which has 16in swing and 24in max bed length.

Max bed length is soon reduced by adding live centre, chuck, etc.

I have 2. My small one is 12" swing 18" length. My big one is 20" swing 54" between centers.
I had a lathe like yours. It's a 12" swing (measure 6" from the bed to the center which means you can turn 12"

It's not about size but how it gets used :D I also have 2, both HF models, the bigger is a 12'' swing and the smaller is a 10''swing. I have modified the big one so that it's no longer a reeves, had too many issue's with it. The bigger one can also be used for out board turning and I did turn a 17'' bowl once, slooooooowwwwlllllyyyy. The little 10X18 model is a great machine IMHO a very good buy.
