Did this piece for my brother's birthday. I stained it after, but wish I hadn't. It looked nicer without it and think with a dark backboard it would have really popped. Oh well...live and learn.

Thanks! I did it out of pine because it's 1" wood and I wanted something soft enough to cut through.

Thanks! Cutting took 3-4 hours. It wouldn't have taken that long, but I kept getting interrupted by the girlfriend.
