Hey guys, I'm out in Las Vegas this week on work/ vacation for the Surfaces convention. I've never been to Vegas before and didn't know if there was anything woodworking related to do while I was here. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks!!

I was there last week. I always marvel at all the architecture. If you haven't been to the Wynn walk down and check out the crown molding. The whole city was decorated for Chinese New Year. There is a restaurant in the mirage that has interesting wood work on the walls. There is detail everywhere whether it is in wood or stone, I try to pay attention so I can come home and try and replicate it.

I have made many trips to surfaces. The last was nearly 10 years ago. Is it getting smaller like most trade shows are?

We checked out the Wynn and it was really cool. Thanks!! The Surfaces show doesn't actually start until tomorrow so we'll see. But, unfortunately I'm assuming you're correct though :-(
