It took way too long (largely because I couldn't work on something this large in my basement shop and had to move 1/2 my tools to the garage), but I just finished the book cases to a matching desk and cases set for my office (shared with my wife...hard at work in one of the photos). Everything is made from pine veneered plywood with a cherry edging. The tops to the book cases are book matched solid cherry. Everything is finished with 3-4 coats of water based poly.

This project was fun, but I never want to build something this large again. At least not in my current shop.

Sorry for the lack of build photos, but I was scrambling to finish everything before it got too cold.

Large projects always take longer than we expect they should. Nice looking! Big enough to take a NAP on!
