I have the Jet XACTA2 table saw fence and the right side plate keeps falling off. Most of the times I don’t even bother to put it back on because it’s such a pain in the butt, but then it gets in my way. I want it on to stay on and I’m about to glue it on. :furious:

Anybody have this problem?

remove the keyhole brackets and drill counter sunk holes in the (what looks like) HDPE facings and screw them right to the fence. that one keyhole bracket looks to be a bit bent up and that whole mounting idea looks like something jet created to leave potential buyers thinking they were getting something special by being able to toollessly slip the faces on and off.

Thanks Toolguy,
I don’t understand why they did that unless they don’t want the edges of the screw hole catching anything. How often would you need to replace these anyway?

I’m not sure how long it would take, but I was thinking about make a thicker keyhole bracket that doesn’t bend so easy.

I've got the same fence and have not had problems. I put the faces in place, then tap them with a mallet to snug them up.
Thanks knotscott, I can’t remember if I had to do that when I bought it years ago or if they were already attached.

I have never had a problem with the left side only the right side, but now that toolguy1000 brought the keyhole bracket to my attention, I can see now that the problem is with the bracket being bent. I pulled of the brackets and straightened them out a little before replacing them.

It seems to be holding right now and I’m crossing my fingers. I hardly ever use the right side and don’t understand what cause it to come loose.
