He should have jacked the van higher so he doesn't have to bend over so far. That is heck on your back. With as well equipped as he was, and the tools he used, should turn out that bowl in 3-4 days, unless he runs outta gas first.:laughing:

Hmmm, I'm thinking that with the suspension he ought'a get some wobble/chatter especially if he bears down with the "chisel".

The OP was comical and scary. This one is just scary.

And, I hope he doesn't have any high winds anytime soon. The roof structure should be severely weakened.

Wow, I have a shopsmith (or two) and have turned a few things on it but would never envision doing something like that. I fear we'll be reading (something bad) about this guy. Out of round stuff makes those machines dance like crazy :yes::yes:. If the machine survives the ordeal, it'll need a full servicing (it already didn't sound "right"). Maybe he and the Canadian oughta get together.
