I saw this thread a while back http://www.woodworkingtalk.com/f13/head-bones-connected-x16-48388/ I now fully appreciate what it takes to build the little things that Johnnie52, Kenbo, Buggyman ,Art and others here have done.
And to build in multiples ... that's crazy! I started one.. 1 robot as a prototype and plan to build 5 for the grandsons for Christmas.... I have successfully got the pieces cut and have not injured myself.. And Steve built 16 in what a week?

I hear you! Steve inspired me and my son to build several and I made some for Christmas gifts. It is easier to build them in an assembly line that's
for sure. We have one we named Stan and we find him in various places around the house, it's our little family joke to stick Stan in weird, unpredictable
spots. My favorite was the refrigerator! man was he cold!
Have fun!
