Just joined the site, and didn't lurk long before jumping right in!

I'm originally from Irving Texas, but followed a job out here to north Georgia about 4 years ago. (aircraft mechanic @ ATL)

I've been "inactive" concerning woodworking for about 5-6 years, but really excited about getting all my equipment fired back up.

Mostly Powermatic/Jet

Contractor saw (52")
6" jointer
15" planer
bandsaw
dust collector
4 routers
etc, etc, etc....

I'd built a 25X40 shop back in Texas, and spent many hours out there making sawdust... have had things packed away until recently, and really looking forward to getting it all fired back up.

I'm in the beginning stages of a circa '55 home remodel, and enjoy all phases of construction. (good thing, just about nothing but the light bulbs has been changed since built!)

I'm planning on building my own kitchen cabinets, and filling the place with furniture. (Won't be hard to do... it's a small place!)

Anyway... I'm not "brand new" to woodworking, but I'm not nearly as talented as some guys here.

"The saw won't get ya, but the blade SURE WILL!"

Looks like I'll miss this one Gary, but thanks for the info.

I'll mark it down for next year, for sure.

Welcome Beav from another Georgia Boy!

And not to hijack, but thanks Gary for the Hardwoods Inc info. Didn't even know they were there. Stopped by this morning, didn't win anything but enjoyed the demos. Congrats to your wife!

Again welcome Beav and if you ever need anything just holler!!

Thanks all, for the warm welcome.
