I have an opportunity to receive instruction from a retired shop teacher and master craftmen who runs his own business privately teaching others the trade.

My question is what do you think is a reasonable cost? I have no idea what something like this should cost. In theory it would be just for one project start to finish.

Well...I spent roughly 50 bucks an hour on classes for my MBA.....40 bucks an hour for undergrad classes.

There are shop instructors that would be worth paying 100 bucks an hour....and there are ones that I wouldn't pay 2 dollars an hour.

It's all in how relevant and worthwhile the course is for you.

I would say you can't put a price on experience, that's the best teacher, but this is just a hobby for me.

Money and time invested, hopefully you get a good return :)
