Hey guys. I am getting ready to start a project that will have a small door that is positioned between upper and lower panels, recessed two inches in.

I want the kind of "pin hinge" that is fixed into the upper and lower edges of the door, and they are set into and rotate about holes drilled into the upper and lower panels.

I think this style looks very fresh and neat, no exposed hinge plates or screws, and since the door will be quite small and light, the hinge should work for many years.

Problem is, I don't know what the hinge is called to try to find it. I'm thinking "pin hinge", but what I get from that search is a lot of "hinge pin", and not the right parts.

Another nicety would be spring-loaded, so if I wanted to remove the door, I could without disassembling the whole thing.

Thanks in advance,

Okay, I found "Concealed pin hinge" at Rockler, and that is kind of what I want

But I want both ends of the pin to be set into the wood, with no screws required.

Okay, I want to attempt to replicate the Protops benchtop router table by Benchdog. I am on my cell right now, but if you get a chance to look at that table, it looks like it uses those hinges.
