There are times when you need a "shop buddy" and no one is available. So, I figure the next best thing is to go to the WWW and visit with folks that are of the same mind. Questions, answers, best practice and ideas are plentiful.
I "retired" from the civil engineering sector after 30 years in 1998, did some consulting and then went to school for 2yrs to learn cabinetmaking. That got me a carpentry job in the high-end home remodeling/construction arena in Seattle. The "dot COM" bubble broke and got laid off, worked for other contractors until my wife retired. We've since downsized to a home that has 600sf shop where I am doing "projects" (furniture, toys, gun grips and other items).
Will probably be viewing and reading more than contributing at first, however, if something peeks my curiosity...
