Hi everyone. I was looking up mitre saws on Google and found Woodworking talk. I'm delighted at the amount of useful and helpful advice and ideas freely given out so am pleased to have joined this community.

I've just bought a mitre saw and am interested in fitting a laser guide. Does anyone have any experience of these gizmos and are they worth fitting?

I think idea of putting a staight edge on a piece of ply, then cutting to this and using as a guide is good idea and costs very little.
