Hello,
I'm too old to be a beginner at this, but I'm am indeed. Grew up building treehouses every summer as a kid with hammer, nail, and donated lumber. I enjoy the peace and quiet of handtools and admit to being intimidated (due to inexperience) by a lot of whirring blades, but I'm getting over it project by project.
I'm hoping to learn a hybrid approach (powered and handtools) to woodworking here and get help gaining confidence and skill with good starter projects. So far, I've built a sturdy workbench, an 8' planter box, and a few other very basic things. I may ask some dumb questions, but if I get good at this, I'll happily give you guys all the credit.
Thanks in advance!
