I finished the parts below with varathane indoor heavy duty water based finish. is there a better commonly available product for wear and tear? What about my install question?
I have a couple of transitions to install today from the tile to adjacent flooring.
The pieces are 3 1/2" wide cherry, one is 5/8" thick and the other 3/4".
They are notched out to fit over the vinyl and laminate flooring. They butt the tile.
I was going to glue them down with 3m super silicone so they will have a flexible bed. My only concern was a long cure time due to lack of air.
I do have a few epoxy products here also.
What works best for you guys? I'd rather not drill, screw, and plug with the thickness of the pieces.

I have always cut kerfs in the bottom use plenty of 100% silicone and set some weight on it overnight. I think it needs to be flexible and epoxy might be to hard.

thanks!
my brother and I were chatting, and he suggested vinyl flooring mastic. that stuff sets quicker than the silicone and does stay flexible. In any case I will edge seal with silicone.

I forgot kerfs. I will go slice some in, thanks for that too.
