I just found this years project at this site.

However, there is also an easier version to be seen here.

Check them both out and please consider building one of these.

Download the plans free here (PDF format). Plans donated by WOOD magazine.

A couple of years ago I made a rocking horse during this charity drive and it was a lot of fun to make. The beautiful part is you get to keep the finished project to give as a gift or donate however you want. My granddaughter loved her Christmas present horsey. All that needs to be sent in is a photo of the finished piece.

I plan on building one of these for the charity, when I get my dining table done. I hope I can fit it all in before the deadline. Need to finish the table by thanksgiving, so if I get that then I should have no problem pumping one of these out by the ninth.

Looks like we did it!

I already posted this in the project showcase, but figured I'd put it here also.

The following is a direct copy from the Wood Whisperer web site. Looks like we exceeded our goal this year.

The results are in! We had 210 Easel submissions and a total of $11,411 (the number went up since I filmed the video this morning).
We easily exceeded our goal of $10,000 and were able to give a substantial chunk of change to CancerCare. If you’d like to see the list of donors, take a look at the scrolling widget on the CancerCare Team Page.
We would like to thank each and every person who helped us out by building easels, making donations, and spreading the word about this event. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Don’t forget that you can still order your Woodworkers Fighting Cancer T-Shirts and Mugs!
Here’s to a happy and healthy new year!!

Here is a link directly to the site and Marc's video.

I would also like to thank everyone from Woodworking Talk who participated in this years build (Well done guys) and also those who followed along with me as I built the project in its modified form.
