Hey everyone! my name is billie, im 25, i have 2 sons, ages 2 years and the other one is 4 days old. im in the navy, i have a wife, 2 dogs, a 93 gallon salt water fish tank, and thats about it! My grandpa was a master woodworker, how ever i didnt get to grow up with him because my dad was in the navy too, so we didnt live by him, he passed away a few years ago and thats when i started to dabble in wood working. ive made 2 fishtank stand, 2 tv stands, some wooden signs, thats about it. Currently all i have is a table saw, a dewalt palm router, and a black and decker jigsaw, a $30 cheap kobalt planer and a few hammers and what not. and 3 long clamps and 2 C clamps. with a new born, a 2 year old, a wife to please and the fishtank, i dont have a lot extra money to buy tools with, BUT this is rapidly becoming a passion and truely makes me feel closer to my grandpa. since hes not here for me to turn to for help, here i am! thanks for having me!

Looking back at the stand that i built, i really didnt know a lot about anything, didnt even know that gluing boards together was a good idea, no have any clue what a planer was or anything about joinery, so keep all that in mind while watchin it and be nice! thanks you!
Looking good make sure you post your finished project.

Thanks for your service Billie - and congratulations on the growing family. I'm sure your grandpa is proud of you and pleased you're willing to carry on his passion for woodworking. As a father of 4 grown boys and Pepe to 5 grand daughters - I'm sure your grandpa is more proud of his great grand kids. Welcome to a great woodworking forum...
