I like my new "Cabinet Planner" software. I purchased it last week ($97.00) and opted for the hardcopy via snail mail. Have been tooling around with it this week and was having difficulty getting it ti accept the format I use for constructing carcasses. Finally, over the weekend, I emailed the creator expecting an answer sometime after Monday. Not so, I have exchanged emails with him 3 times today (Saturday) and he was able to show me exactly what to do to accomplish my goal. (seems my method of construction isn't quite so unique after all!). What's my message here? I have found this product to be an incredible value and if my experience over this weekend is any indication, the service is beyond compare.
Did I say........Highly Recommended.

It's good to hear that you give it a thumbs up and everything will work out to your satisfaction. Must be great to have help when you need it. May make the process easier.

I can't say I ever bought plans or ever will. I had to develop my ability way before there were home computers, no less an internet, to figure things out on my own and find out what works, and in what circumstances.

After the trial and error one becomes familiar with the design and layout of a project, and then develops his own method for drawings, cut lists, and any assembly details. I think I'm too old and set in my ways to spend time on a computer to do woodworking. But I can see the value of having a systematic planner and accurate record that is easily accessed and modified in a software program. It must save a lot of time. Ya never know...one day I might get hooked.
