I'm building a desktop with a red oak frame and an inlay of zebrawood. I need a clearcoat that will make the top hard so fairly heavy use of the desktop will not effect the zebrawood. I've read about a table top epoxy that your pour on and have used the traditional clear coat stuff you can buy at Home Depot. Is there something in between that I can put on with a brush and wouldn't require the several coats a regular clear coat would require?
