I expect there will be quite a few users of this tool, so I'll share a shop fix that they were probably going to include.....but didn't for some reason. First the legal speak.....DON'T DO THIS.... There, that ought to cover me!
The saw has a guide block and 2 holes for a pin to seat in. One of which is to hold the blade in position for a blade change. This morning I ran by the BORG and picked up a sliding bolt latch.
Opened the frame to get at the bolt and cut one end to 1 5/8"...
A weak spring, small washer and a cotter key and we're done!
