Hello everyone,

I have a question about moon dials,
I'm building my own clock and want to make a custom clock face. The only thing I need to do this are the metal disks with planet earth depicted onto it (See picture).

Does anyone know how these are called and if there is a way to get one which is a full circle, maybe there is a type of drawing that I can use to engrave metals disks myself. The only problem is that I don't know what these disks and drawings are called.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Kind regards,
Martijn

Martijn - what part of the world do you live in ?
there is a trophy shop near me that does all my brass plates.
they can laser engrave anything onto metal in any shape.
if you needed a specific size for your clock face, I would have
the emblem engraved on just square stock and cut the metal
yourself and finish it accordingly to suit your needs.
B&W Clipart is readily available on the net so you can choose
your own personal designs.

Thanks for your reply,

I live in the Netherlands, I believe there are a few companies here that engrave metal too.
Thank you for the Black & White clipart suggestion, I didn’t think of that one before. Ill start on making a design that works for me and have it engraved.

Thanks again,
Martijn
