hello world of wood,
I think i may have some bad luck, i'm on table saw number 4. My latest one is the ryobi sliding carrage and even this is starting to fall apart, ie the legs have buckled, the handle to lift the blade has snapped, the mitre gauge has broken, so what next?? can anyone recommend anything better please. It cost's £200+ in the uk

I know this seems obvious, but... Stop buying junk. Invest in a quality saw. You'll thank yourself.

Not trying to pile on here, but if you are on saw #4 and still have not quit buying junk . . . . . . . .

Is you're budget $200, or do you have a budget in mind? If that is your budget - you're pretty much stuck looking for something used. At least you would be on my side of the pond.

There are plenty of good cabinet saws made in Europe, German, Italian, etc. Buy a 10" saw with 3 hp, buy it used if you can't afford a new one, and then you won't be re-buying something in a few years. Not only have you wasted money on 4 saws, I guarantee you will be amazed at how much easier it is to get great results with a quality saw. Used is probably the best way to go. Don't buy the first one you see, expect to look for a couple of months. good luck
