Once upon a time there was a sheet of glass on the top - it was inserted inside the upper framing. We used to place pics there as the glass would be right on top of it. Cool stuff.

:thumbdown: However, while I was getting it out to clean the glass itself the fookin thing dropped [it was heavy]. Now I wonder if I should replace it with another glass, plastic or what's the other item?

Any shots??

Yes Glass. But first / next go find some suction cups. Don't have to be very large. So next time you will not have to pry :blink::blink: the glass out. :thumbsup:

Harbor Freight sells those suction cups specifically for lifting glass. They're cheap too......cheaper than a new piece of glass probably.

Another vote for glass here.

You might want to think about getting the glass tempered after you get it cut...

it appears I will go for the glass. tempered style is a good idea. Thanks.

I will get it custom cut and be sure to get those suction cups too.
