That bowl wouldn't last 5 minutes at the farmers market where I sell my stuff. You'd be getting requests for every kind of veggie that can be dried. How do you know how to orient the grain?

I can see a new Veggies of the Lathe coming soon.

I want a bowl made with Giant Lima Beans or….. maybe sliced apple with the core left in. Decisions, decisions; who will I give my business to.

Cool idea Hifi,
not sure what kind of glue you used, but if you get some 2 part epoxy it will fill all the voids. And you can add a little tinge of dye to it to color it. The epoxy has to be the kind that takes 24 hours to cure. It cuts easy enough when you turn it, and sands ok too.

My goodness...what prompted you to even think of turning peas, of all things.
If you're that hard-up for something to turn, there are plenty on here who will send you some wood.
