My father in law repaired an axle and bearings for a local guy who picks up wind fall trees and mills them. And in exchange for the repairs the guy offered to trade some lumber. Seeing as my father in law is a welder and doesn't use wood I got the free wood. So I picked up roughly 40 board feet of black ash.
