Is this any good?

I believe Rockler has 10 of these per store a few years back as a promotional stunt. These are made by JET and they were testing out a new market for this product. They are no longer for sale in stores.
I am thinking, I am a novice woodworking and i do not want to spend 500 bucks on a planer. 115 bucks might be well spend.

I'd ask to run a board through it...but looks ok from the ad.

By the way, did you ever find a saw?

It's hard to imagine it not being worth $115. I'm sure it's without a lot of the bells and whistles of the more expensive models but that shouldn't be a problem. I would try to find out if knives are easily available.

It looks about like my delta portable. The blades are the most expensive part so if he has extra that's a real good thing. Make sure and get that stand if you don't have one.
