I got a couple of quotes to run the 220 - both were around $250. That would pay for a good chunk of the bandsaw I'd like to get. And selling the planer would help even more ;-)

So you see my quandary...

Will you be using it in your garage? Maybe you have a 220V outlet you could use when needed (share)...like from a clothes dryer, or a water heater?
