I know we have many Veterans on this forum and most know how to display our Flag. For those that do not know, I have included the proper way to display the Flag on Memorial day.

As we honor fallen soldiers this Memorial Day, flags should be displayed in proper fashion. The U.S. flag should be raised to half-staff between dawn and noon on Memorial Day, then dipped and hoisted to the peak until sunset.

At noon, the flag should be lowered all the way, then hoisted to the peak. Unless lighted, it should be taken down at sunset. In rain, the flag should not be flown at all.

Please keep in mind that when putting a flag at half staff it should be raised fully to the top for an instant, THEN lowerd to half staff. When retiring the flag for the day if it is still at half staff, it should be raised to the top for an instant then lowered slowly to be removed and folded.
