Walnut and oak. I took honey comb from my dads bees and made candles. The plate was still at 9% moisture, I was afraid of it cracking. Looked around the shop and the bees wax candle I made was my best bet lol. I pressed the wax on while it was on the lathe then kinda burned it in the wood with the paper side of sand paper. Don't know if it will last but looks cool
