This is the first project I have done that I was paid to make. Granted, it was my older brother that ordered it, but since he is paying, it still counts  Just finished it this weekend. Alaska Birch construction, finished with Boiled Linseed oil and Polyurethane. Mortise and Tenon joinery throughout, except where the back attaches to the base where I used bolts instead to make it more easily disassembled.

I actually found the back to be surprisingly comfortable, but obviously everyone is different and for some a curved (or angled) back might be preferable :) Of course, that is a bit beyond my skill level at the moment (well, curving at least. I could probably manage angled), and my brother wanted a straight back anyway.
