This bowl is ambrosia maple, 10" x 2 1/2". I carved the rim just to add a little bit of texture to it. Lacquer and buffed. Fun project.

Nice carving mike I too was wondering power carving like a dremel or hand carving?

I just got a flex cut set for Christmas with the intention of adding carving to my turning.

Mike; Nice bowl really like the carving added to it. Did you do the carving by hand or power carve?

Jerry
Jerry,
It's all by hand. I would like to have a power carver, but don't have one yet. Doing it by hand is pretty satisfying though. Very relaxing.
