First furlough project

Here is the first small project I did during my furlough. One of the supervisors at work asked me to make a Mississippi shaped cup holder that would hang 8 cups. So here it is. Made from cypress and finished with spray can shellac. The pins I made myself on my drill press cause I didn't want to pay $2.00 each at Lowes . Wood Wood stain Hardwood Floor Flooring
Sorry for poor pic quality. As always I'm using my phone camera.

Nice idea ray. Did you angle the pegs? Looks nice.
Also how did you make the pins on a DP?

I didn't angle them though I probably should have I guess. To make them , I used a chisel to cut the depth of the bead, then sanded the bevel, cause the chisel kept skipping.

Nice work.

I have tried the drill press trick in the past with varying degrees of success, but it looks like you nailed it.
