Ahoy all! I am still pretty new here and I have benefited greatly from the things I have read and the pointers people have given. I recently read some stuff on how to make end grain cutting boards and here are some shots of ones that I made recently. I'm all about feedback, so don't be shy if you have any pointers or suggestions...
Oh, the wood in the first board is mahogany, sugar maple, hickory, and a thin piece of bloodwood.
The wood in the second board is redheart on the edges, black walnut and white oak for the checker pattern, padauk and yellowheart thins, and a mystery wood in the middle. If anyone can identify that wood, I'd appreciate it. I got it in a junk bucket at the store I go to and the guy at the counter didn't know what it was either. Thanks!
