Hi Everybody! I've been turning some gifts for family members over the last couple of years (Pens, Keychains, Bottle stoppers, etc.). I got a chuck from family for X-mas. This is my first attempt at a bowl. The blank was a hickory blank (given to me). I didn't see a void until I got to this stage, so I plan on filling this in with a little coffee grounds and CA glue. The bowl is not finished turning yet, but I'm crashing so I'm headed to bed.

thats a good profile there , nice shape . Tidy wee knots too .
What size is the bowl ?

The blank was 6 x 3 (I think). After mounting and getting square, I think it will be ~ 5½" by 3. Still have to shape the remainder of the inside.

So it will be about 2 1/2 in. deep inside , a good sized bowl .
