Since i started turning pens i dont think i have turned a single bowl
This was the knot on a black oak tree where the limb had fallen off and it had healed over
It had a bark inclusion almost all the way thru and i didnt think i was gonna be able to finish it

looks cool. Them oak knots can come around and bang real hard on the cutter sometimes.

It's a beauty. Like those wild and pretty grains and figures on the black oak. With the hole and bark, they just add some character to your bowl. Great turning piece!
