Friend that does tree care gifted me with some large/thick cookies of a huge ash (Arizona ash) some months ago- decided to try some, plus I need to make him something too.
Didn't think this was a gnarly piece until I'd gotten it mostly shaped, then all the grub tunnels "showed" up. I filled all that needed it with turquoise mix. Ended up with a fairly nice looking bowl, inside is a little rough due to the tunnels.
8.5 x 3.5 inches, used my regular friction polish.

What did you use for filling in the grub tunnels? What do I need to know to try my hand at filling in like that?
I can PM you a small tutorial I wrote for a couple of other members-let's see if I can copy it to send. Like anything else, is learning/experience curve & I learned this on my own.
