Well, I've been watching these very nice bandsaw box builds and so I wanted to try my hand at it. I grabbed a chunk of firewood off the stack and went at it. All in all I think it came out OK for a first attempt, I think I had about 30 minutes of actual time in the build not counting glue drying. It was easier than I thought, now I want to build some from good wood:yes:

Thanks to all the wood masters out there for your inspiration.

I don't know why the photos came out so huge, I resized them all in photobucket and for some reason they didn't stay shrunk.:icon_confused:

I seem to have figured out the photo issue.

Dominick, thanks for the compliments. I pulled the size down a tad on the pics just to make it more download friendly for those with a slower connection. :)

It looks good for a first, the wood has some nice grain patterns and love the bark inclusion. It has some rustic charm. Great work! Looking forward to more boxes.

Thanks, now that I have a new blade on my saw I'm going to try some more. That blade was rather dull and the cutting was slow and rough. The more I use my bandsaw the more I learn about it and the more I want to use it!
