A friend gave me some limb wood that was perfect for a lamp. The pedestal d bottom base is walnut and the small base that the pedestal sits on is some very colorful black walnut, What do y'all think?

Very nice. What’s the finish?

I like yo use the Minwax oil wax. It’s very easy to apply, provides long term protection and looks great. I use it on many projects.
