Hi-
I built some new face frames for my kitchen cabinets. I fear that I sanded them to much because they will not take the oil stain as well as the doors did, they turned out much lighter. What steps could I take to refinish the frames to get a closer match with my doors?

sounds like you went too fine on the sandpaper dont go over 180, just lightly resand to open the pores, let stain sit a bit b4 you wipe, gonna have to go trial and error till u find out what works

Sanding SEALER?????? Sealing does not open pores. Sanding sealer closes pores. As to alcohol........??

Resand to create some OPEN pores. OaK SHOULD NOT BE SANDED ABOVE 120 GRIT.

That's what I like about ZAR oil stains can build up to darken to match.
