Since your new at this let me explain. You can color epoxy with shoe dye. Just mix a little in and stir it up. Acrylic paint also works well. 5 minute epoxy works pretty well but you do have to work fast. Slower setting epoxy lets you take more time to mix the colors.
You can also try things like pack the crack with ground up metal filings like brass or bronz. The fill the gap with thin or medium CA glue. If you haven't use it, CA is cyanoacrylate adhesive. (think Super glue). You can buy the better quality CA glues an hobby shops that sell RC planes or model train shops.
Inlace is an excellent product but kind of expensive. It comes in premixed colors as well as clear, white and black. There are also a ton of additives and things you can mix with it. You can get it from Woodcraft but I buy mine from www.turtlefeathers.net You can also use many of the additives in epoxy. I buy the metallic powders and mix them with epoxy.
