Very nice looking piece you have there. Router work must have been a mental work out. Did you have to thin the finishes? I have the 5500.

.
I never have to thin any of the Targets products. They arereally outstanding and I use the water base shelleac on almost all project. No smell, no vapor, safe in the house and absolutelly gorguous finish on cherry
I have done tons of test to get what I want . You can see them in my Flickr album.

For the router job , I have done a video but it's in french. But I explain the techniques should be easy to follow.

What bit did you use on your panels, looks to be about a 1" core box?
How far past center did you set your bit depth? Thanx
I try different size , finally I decide to go with 3/4".
My panel are 1/2" thick and I could say I gone to about .275" on the front side and .250" on the back.

Thank you for all the comments.

Thanks for your response. I just picked up the Earlex 5500 and don't have much experience with it. I've heard good things about Target but haven't used it yet. I suppose when they finally take away all our finish materials except water based, I'll give it a try.
